On YouTube's J:COM channel, a research by Mr. Hiyori Namie of our university's Graduate School of Agriculture, titled ``Aiming for environmentally friendly and sustainable agriculture - Paddy farming methods modeled after the Edo period'' has been published.

This is what was broadcast on September 23rd as part of the J:COM channel project "LOVE THE EARTH from local - Dissemination from the local area - J:COM SDGs Program" and is now available on the web.

The video released shows that this research is characterized by a farming method that does not rely on chemical fertilizers but combines organic cultivation with "intertillage weeding," which has been passed down since the Edo period, to suppress the generation of greenhouse gases and maximize the power of nature. This article introduces the realization of "sustainable harvest," which allows you to obtain a high yield while utilizing the soil for various purposes.
