The deep sea, Earth's last frontier. Through physiological and ecological research on unique microorganisms that live in the extreme environment of hydrothermal vents on the deep seabed, we aim to solve modern environmental problems. In particular, we want to contribute to the realization of a sustainable society by clarifying the characteristics of microorganisms that have the ability to reduce greenhouse gases and using this to develop new technologies to curb global warming. Why not join us in exploring clues to how to use the unknown power of deep-sea microorganisms to benefit the future of our planet?
