As achieving a decarbonized society becomes an urgent necessity, we still rely heavily on fossil fuels for our energy supply. However, realistically, the transition to renewable energy will take a considerable amount of time. Therefore, improving the energy efficiency of current combustion processes and enhancing CO2 capture technologies are essential, and the utilization of "oxygen" is key. I am working on developing materials that enable low-cost and energy-efficient oxygen production. I would be delighted if we could create new value through collaborations that go beyond mere "creation" of oxygen, such as integrating it with processes that "use" oxygen.
