Affiliation: Faculty of Education (School of Education)
If you are interested, I recommend this subject! :Chronobiology
What led me to study: When I was a child, I loved playing outside and catching bugs, and my mother, whose hobby was mountain climbing, influenced me, so I often went mountain climbing with my family on the weekends. When I entered university, I became interested in how the body changes through exercise and diet, and became interested in the mechanisms of the human body. In my graduation thesis, I investigated how mountain climbing affects the diurnal fluctuations of the autonomic nervous system, which led me to fully immerse myself in research on the autonomic nervous system during my master's program at graduate school. When I entered graduate school for a doctoral course, I wanted to research a unique theme as a researcher, and I am currently investigating biological clocks and sleep.
Professor Yamanaka's research is introduced in ``Lectures by Hokkaido University faculty members ``The appeal of chronobiology research.'' *Move to Yume Navi.
