Message: When you think of the Arctic Circle, you may think, ``The only thing that comes to mind is polar bears,'' or ``It's so far away that it doesn't seem to concern me.'' However, the connection between the Arctic and our lives is growing, with seafood from the Arctic such as shrimp and salmon being imported and served on our dinner tables, and the development of resources in the Arctic affecting the prices of goods and electricity bills. There are surprisingly many. The Arctic region is greatly affected by climate change, which affects everyone on earth. By taking an interest in what's happening in the Arctic, thinking about it as your own, and acting on it, your world will definitely expand.

Professor Onishi's research is introduced in ``Lecture given by Hokkaido University faculty members, ``International relations in the Arctic region, which is warming four times faster than the Earth as a whole.'' *Move to Yume Navi.
