HSI SDGs Challenge Competition 2023 was held online on October 13th.

The HSI SDGs Challenge Competition is an English presentation contest aimed at creating opportunities for cross-cultural exchange and student-to-student exchange, where our students and students from overseas can share diverse ways of thinking and collaborate. This competition is held as a related event of Hokkaido Summer Institute and is sponsored by the student organization "Team Omotenashi".

This year's theme is "Sustainable Food Systems -How can we tackle the inequality in food production and consumption?-". We asked them to present their ideas on how to solve the issues of food loss and food waste in various parts of Japan from an international perspective. The 1st Prize, 2nd Prize, and Audience Awards were determined by a panel of five judges, including faculty members from our university.
