Our University's Research Faculty of Agriculture will hold the 65th Clock Tower Salon "Let's Ask School of Agriculture" on October 18th.

The theme of the 65th event is "The Future of Smart Livestock Farming." We will introduce the latest findings from researchers who are developing research using sensors in the livestock field.

• Lecture 1 “Cowherding with a smartphone?!”
  Takafumi Goto, Professor Field Science Center for Northern Biosphere Hokkaido University
  We are planning a lecture on the use of unused mountainous areas and mountains in Japan for grazing, control of meat quality, and research on management systems using space technology.
• Lecture 2 “Cow burp and the future of dairy farming”
  Satoshi Koike, Professor, Graduate Research Faculty of Agriculture Hokkaido University
  We are planning a lecture on how to reduce methane generated in the digestive tract of cows and on monitoring individual methane gas emissions using internal sensors.
