National Government, Hokkaido, and Sapporo City established “Team Sapporo-Hokkaido,” a consortium consisting of industry-academia-government-finance organizations, on June 23 to promote Green Transformation (GX) by utilizing the potential of renewable energy in Hokkaido, aiming to realize “Zero Carbon Hokkaido” and to establish Sapporo as an international environmental financial city.

Hokkaido University will participate in the efforts of “Team Sapporo-Hokkaido.”

On June 23, a symposium titled “Realization of a Financial Center for Asia and the World” was held after the establishment ceremony. In addition to keynote speeches and panel discussions, a group photo was taken of the constituent members.
