The interior of the model livestock stalls and granary of the Important Cultural Property "Sapporo Agricultural College No. 2 Farm" will be open to the public from May 8th to November 4th.

Sapporo Agricultural College No. 2 Farm is a single livestock farm, equipped with a series of livestock management facilities centered around a model livestock barn designed by W. Wheeler and a granary designed by W.P. Brooks, built in 1888. It was established as a model farm with a proven track record. Each farm facility uses the same balloon-frame architectural style as the light timber-framed practical buildings that were common in the frontiers of the American Midwest at the time. Sapporo Agricultural College No. 2 Farm is an extremely valuable building for understanding the form of dairy farm management at the time.

*The building exterior and front garden are open to the public all year round.
