“HSI SDGs Challenge Competition 2022” is now accepting applications from participantss.

 

The theme of this year’s event is “Sustainable Production & Consumption Rethinking Our Lifestyle during the Pandemic”.

The covid-19 pandemic brought more apparent problems of mass profuction and consumption. Now the world is getting back to normal, what can we do for a better future by rethinking our daily lives?

Venue: Face-to-face participation or online participation available

Category: ① 5 people in individual category, ➁ 5 teams in team category

Based on the background material "Rethinking Our Lifestyle during Pandemic (go to Google Drive)", we will give a 5-minute presentation in English on the following topics.

(1) [Problem Setting] Background and current situation of mass consumption around you under the pandemic
(2) [Solution] A specific plan to solve (1)

*Hokkaido Summer Institute (HSI) is a summer program in which our university faculty members conduct cutting-edge classes in English from June to October in collaboration with researchers who are active on the world's front lines, invited from universities and research institutes around the world. It's summer school. This program is open to not only Hokkaido University students but also those from off-campus (overseas and domestic) who wish to take the course.This program allows Hokkaido University students to experience studying abroad while staying at Hokkaido University. During this period, we plan to hold international exchange events between Hokkaido University students and overseas students participating in HSI.
