“HSI SDGs Challenge Competition 2022” is now accepting applications from participantss.

 

The theme of this year’s event is “Sustainable Production & Consumption Rethinking Our Lifestyle during the Pandemic”.

The covid-19 pandemic brought more apparent problems of mass profuction and consumption. Now the world is getting back to normal, what can we do for a better future by rethinking our daily lives?

English Presentation Competition to rethink our consumption during the pandemic.
<Event Format>  Hybrid (*You may choose to participate either in person or via Zoom.)
<Schedule> Saturday, August 27th, 2022 1:30p.m. 〜5:00p.m. (JST)
<Venue> At Hokkaido University campus
<Who can apply> HSI students, Nitobe College students*, and Hokkaido University students

【Rules】
Participants will read background material; Rethinking Our Lifestyle during the Pandemic, and make a 5-minute presentation in English on the following items.
(1) [Problem Setting] Background and current situation of mass consumption around you under the pandemic
(2) [Solution] A specific plan to solve (1)

*Hokkaido Summer lnstitute(HSI), one of the largest summer schools in Japan, is a program that brings together world-leading researchers with proven educational and research records, and provides educational courses in cooperation with the Hokkaido University (HU) faculty members.During the period, HSI plans to hold international exchange events between Hokkaido University students and overseas students participating in HSI.
