The Center for Educational and Learning Support (TLU) at Hokkaido University will be holding a seminar titled "Communication that Values Both Yourself and Others: Learning Assertive Communication by Understanding the Autonomic Nervous System."

Have you ever experienced feeling exhausted from trying too hard to accommodate others, or unintentionally using harsh language due to being busy?
At university, daily interactions with people are required, such as dealing with students and coordinating with faculty and staff. However, it can happen to anyone that they put their own feelings aside in an attempt to respect others, or conversely, that they strain relationships by prioritizing expressing their own opinions.

Assertive communication is a form of communication that respects the other person while also valuing and conveying your own thoughts and feelings.
This training program focuses not only on the fundamentals of assertion, but also on adjusting your own mental and physical state before changing your speaking style. Through workshops, participants will experience changes in their autonomic nervous system, become aware of their own state of mind when interacting with others, and practically learn communication that values both themselves and others.

This is an interactive workshop where you not only learn knowledge but also experience personal transformation as you progress.
