On Sunday, May 17th, School of Engineering at Hokkaido University, Kitami Institute of Technology, and Muroran Institute of Technology will hold a talk session-style information session for junior and senior high school students interested in science and engineering careers, as well as their parents, at Chi-Ka-Ho (Sapporo Station Underground Plaza). The event is titled "Go Forward, Science and Engineering Girls! 2026 ~The Day to Find the Me Who Designs the Future~ Kitami Institute of Technology x Hokkaido University School of Engineering x Muroran Institute of Technology: A Talk Session-Style Information Session by Three National Universities in Hokkaido."

 

This event will feature female researchers, graduates, and students from three national universities in Hokkaido: School of Engineering at Hokkaido University, Kitami Institute of Technology, and Muroran Institute of Technology. They will speak candidly about questions such as, "What is daily life like for female science and engineering students? Why did you choose to pursue science and engineering? Where can you find employment? What kind of research are you doing?"

Additionally, each university's booth will have a space where you can easily get advice about your future studies.

Participation is free, no prior registration is required, and you can enter and leave freely. So, whether you aspire to work in a science-related field, are unsure about your future career path, or simply have an interest in science, please feel free to join us.
