In areas such as Hokkaido, where depopulation is progressing, there is a serious shortage of doctors. Currently, the role of AI (artificial intelligence) in supporting humans in all fields is attracting attention, and in medical care, AI supports doctors' diagnoses, AI formulates treatment plans, AI assists in surgeries, etc. is expected. Hokkaido University's Medical AI Developer Training Program (CLAP) is a project to develop human resources who can develop and create medical AI. CLAP fosters self-reliant AI developers by facing medical issues that actually exist in the region, thinking together through hands-on lessons taught by specialized instructors. By realizing advanced medical care using AI, we will deliver ``health and welfare to everyone'', and by providing continuous medical care using AI, we will contribute to ``creating cities where people can continue to live'' even in medically depopulated areas, and the development of AI itself will We will become a "foundation for industry and technological innovation" and support the creation of a society where everyone can achieve "economic growth" while feeling "work-worthy" in their own way.
