Protecting nature also means protecting the relationship between people and nature. The relationships involved are very diverse, such as taking, using, and protecting, and include many small relationships that are hard to notice. Through dialogue with local people, we are continuing our research to record these experiences and pass them on to the next generation. The Regional Science Laboratory Faculty of Humanities and Human Sciences (Professor Taisuke Miyauchi) creates collections of interviews and lifestyle journals, and also considers the form of regional environmental governance and communities based on these.
