The Arctic region is particularly affected by climate change. With the decrease in sea ice, the Arctic region has become more accessible than before, and various developments such as resource development and tourism development have begun. In particular, we asked Professor Natsuhiko Otsuka of Arctic Research Center about the issues surrounding the development of the Northern Sea Route.
