Greenland is the world's largest island, located between the North Pole and the Atlantic Ocean. Approximately two-thirds of its land is located north of the Arctic Circle, and it is known to have the second largest ice sheet area after Antarctica. Due to global warming in recent years, the ice sheets are melting rapidly. We spoke with Associate Professor Evgeny Podolski of Arctic Research Center about his research on Greenland's glaciers, ice sheets, and whales.
