At Hokkaido University Hospital, we are establishing a system to properly diagnose dementia and to consult on the smooth introduction of new disease-modifying therapies that act on the causative agents of Alzheimer's disease. The Mild Cognitive Impairment Center (MCI Center) was established to promote advanced research. The center will begin operations on October 1, 2020.

The Mild Cognitive Impairment Center aims to provide accurate diagnoses and introduce optimal treatments, including new drugs, and improvement measures, including lifestyle changes, for each person with dementia. Furthermore, we will collaborate with research institutions within Hokkaido University and other institutions to promote research into the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of dementia.
