Our university Faculty of Fisheries Sciences and Kitasanriku Factory Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as KSF) signed a collaboration agreement on October 26th.

 

Under this agreement, Faculty of Fisheries Sciences will provide academic knowledge and KSF will be responsible for social implementation tests, etc., in order to commercialize sea urchin farming and seaweed bed restoration technology as a countermeasure against rocky shores in various parts of Japan and around the world. By collaborating and promoting activities, the aim is to conduct research and development necessary for countermeasures against rocky shores, as well as social implementation tests for practical application.

 

Contents of cooperation
  1. Regarding the development of various sea urchin farming techniques
  2. Regarding seaweed bed regeneration technology
  3. Matters related to social and industrial promotion and educational human resource development associated with the implementation of 1 and 2.
  4. Other things that contribute to achieving the purpose
