Our University's Research Faculty of Media and Communication and Faculty of Information Science and Technology will hold an open lecture for the public titled "'AI x The Possibilities of Japanese History Research' - Would you like to take a look at the intersection of Japanese language studies and information engineering?" on October 7th. It will be held on the day.

There is a research field called Japanese history that investigates the history of the Japanese language. What can be achieved by combining the power of information engineering with Japanese language history research? We will explore the possibilities of "Japanese language engineering" research through a joint humanities and sciences research system of Japanese language studies and information engineering. In addition, from the perspective of information engineering, we will introduce research cases that use artificial intelligence technology to handle Japanese.
