In the J:COM channel project "LOVE THE EARTH from local ~Communication from the local area~ J:COM SDGs program", Hiyori Namie of our university's Graduate School of Agriculture 's research "Aiming for environmentally friendly and sustainable agriculture ~In the Edo period "Imitate Paddy Farming Methods" will be broadcast on Saturday, September 23rd.

J:COM will be broadcasting a special feature titled "SDGs Week for University Students," which introduces students who are conducting research and initiatives related to SDGs at their universities, from September 18th to 24th. In this special feature, the research of Hiyori Namie of our university's Graduate School of Agriculture will be featured. This research aims to realize a "sustainable harvest" that maximizes the power of nature and obtains high yields through a farming method that combines organic cultivation with "intertillage weeding", which has been passed down since the Edo period, without relying on chemical fertilizers. That's what I'm aiming for.

After the broadcast, it will be distributed on J:COM's "Do Local" app and YouTube at a later date.
