The lecture series "Multiculturalism in Azerbaijan", organized by the Baku International Center for Multiculturalism and sponsored by the University's Slavic-Eurasian Research Center will be held every Monday from October 2nd to December 25th.
Although Azerbaijan is a small country, it is a multiethnic country with many different ethnic groups. Although the people mainly believe in Islam (Shia), it is a very tolerant country with other denominations such as the Orthodox Church, the Jewish Church, and the Armenian Church. In this series of lectures, we will cover various models of multiculturalism, cultural tolerance, religious tolerance, etc. in Azerbaijan and around the world. In principle, the lectures are targeted at our students, and some of the students actually attend the school in Azerbaijan and have the opportunity to interact with students from around the world.
