The Faculty of Fisheries Science, Hokkaido University (Hakodate Campus) has prepared and published an information webpage for junior high schools and high schools that wish to visit as a part of school excursions, comprehensive studies, and other activities.

 

There are six courses to select according to the purpose of your visit, including a research and education course related to the SDGs of the Faculty of Fisheries Sciences of Hokkaido University.

  • Course to visit facilities on the Hakodate Campus: 30 min.
    Participants will tour the facilities on the campus with a guide (either teachers or students) while having an interactive conversation with them.
  • Course to explain about the School of Fisheries: 30 min.
    You can receive an introductory lecture on the Faculty of Fisheries Science by teachers.
  • Course to visit aquarium facilities: 30 min.
    Participants will tour the aquarium facilities on the Hakodate campus in detail with teachers or students from the Faculty of Fisheries Science.
  • Course to explain the admission examination for the School of Fisheries: 30 min.
    You can receive an explanation of the entrance examination for prospective students.
  • Course to introduce the Balanced Ocean Project: 30 min.
    We introduce the Balanced Ocean Project conducted by the Faculty of Fisheries Science (an educational program aimed to discover and foster top scientists of the ocean at an early stage).
  • Course on SDGs: 60 min.
    You can be introduced to research cases related to SDGs at the Faculty of Fisheries Science and experience a simulated lecture on a part of SDGs education conducted by the Fisheries Science Research Institute.
