At the 4th SDGs Japan Policy Student Study Group sponsored by the Chiba University Public Studies Association, Koichi Tanimura of the Graduate School Graduate School of Public Policy our university submitted a research paper titled ``Sustainable Development in Hokkaido'' in 2020. We presented "Recommendations for policies related to the SDGs" and received the Excellent Presentation Award (Subcommittee Award).
Contents of the paper
The degree of achievement of the 17 SDGs goals in Hokkaido was quantitatively measured using local government SDGs indicators, and strengths and weaknesses were ascertained. Furthermore, through a questionnaire survey of Hokkaido officials and interviews with leading local governments, the project led to recommendations for measures that the Hokkaido Government should implement.
