The International Universities Climate Alliance (IUCA) will host a Student Roundtable Discussion on Wednesday, November 2, 2022. This session will bring together students from across its global university community to discuss some of the challenges and opportunities in preparing for the future and considering the role of COP27 in helping drive better outcomes.

In November, 2020, Hokkaido University joined IUCA, which was launched in April 2020, as the only member institution from Japan. This alliance was initiated by the University of New South Wales, Australia, and has 57 member institutions from 22 countries (as of September 15, 2022). The main activities include the annual executive committee meeting, regional committee meetings, workshops and research roundtables on the five research themes and four sub-themes proposed by the alliance.

By participating in these activities, researchers from member institutions can gather information and build networks on research themes of their interests
