Our university's Arctic Research Center and HAI-FES will hold the ``2nd Seminar - Sustainability Science Aims to Solve Arctic Issues'' on August 4th.
The Arctic region is experiencing rapid global warming and various environmental changes associated with it. It is expected that these problems faced by Arctic societies will eventually be encountered in non-Arctic regions as well. Science is required to collaborate across disciplines, respond to emerging social issues and demands, and contribute to the realization of sustainable solutions. HAI-FES, a project to promote functional enhancement of universities, will hold seminars that will provide opportunities for discussion and provide knowledge and information that will lead to solving issues in the Arctic region.

Our university's Arctic researchers have come together across departments to conduct comprehensive research aimed at sustainable use of the Arctic region, and at the same time collaborate with Future Earth (FE), an international collaborative research platform, to solve problems in the Arctic region. A project to work on.
