The Global Research Unit for Indigenous and Cultural Diversity (GRID) at the Ainu and Indigenous Studies Center, Hokkaido University, will host the GRID Lecture Series Vol. 3, featuring Professor Masato Yoshikai of the Graduate Faculty of Humanities and Human Sciences, Hokkaido University, as the lecturer, entitled "China's Minority Policies: Its History and Present."

This session will examine China's policies toward ethnic minorities, considering their historical context, and their development from around 1946, before the founding of the People's Republic of China, to the present day. Professor Yasuo Tsuji of the Graduate Graduate School of Law Hokkaido University, will serve as moderator and commentator.
