The "SDGs QUEST Mirai Koshien" contest, in which high school students work in teams to come up with action ideas to solve social issues, will be held again in 2026.
"SDGs QUEST Mirai Koshien" is a social change program held nationwide where high school students take the lead in creating the future through learning and action. It aims to be more than just a contest, but a collaborative platform that tackles diverse social issues by connecting with local companies, municipalities, universities, and other organizations.
Climate change, energy, biodiversity, gender, water... How can we solve the various problems facing the Earth and human society? SDGs QUEST Mirai Koshien is a contest where high school students come up with and present ideas for "SDGs actions" that can be solutions to these problems.
The Mirai Koshien tournament will be held in various regions across Japan. The Hokkaido tournament is managed by the "SDGs QUEST Mirai Koshien Hokkaido Tournament Executive Committee," with Professor Emeritus Makoto Demura, Special Advisor to the President of Hokkaido University, serving as the chairman of the executive committee.
