The Center for Advanced Legal and Political Education and Research, affiliated with the Graduate Graduate School of Law, Hokkaido University, held a public lecture entitled "The Military's Influence on Iranian Domestic Politics."
On June 15, 2026, Iran and the United States reached an agreement to end the war, but conflicts between the two sides continue in the process of implementing it.
This lecture will not analyze the current state of the war or peace negotiations, but will instead focus on the historical development of the military's involvement in Iranian domestic politics, and examine the characteristics of contemporary Iranian politics.
