Hokkaido University's Field Science Center for Northern Biosphere, Wakayama Research Forest, will be holding an event to commemorate the publication of the "Frog and Tadpole Handbook," where participants can actually catch real frogs and tadpoles and study them using the book.

Join us for a fun and enriching learning and discovery experience with the author, a researcher and faculty member at this university! This event will be held.


Date and time: Saturday, July 11, 2026

Morning session: 9:00 AM - 11:30 AM (Registration starts at 8:30 AM)

Afternoon session: 14:00 - 16:30 (Registration from 13:30)

Venue: Hokkaido University Wakayama Research Forest (Meeting point: 561 Hirai, Kozagawa-cho, Higashimuro-gun)

Approximately 50 minutes by car from Kushimoto Town and Susami Town.

Target audience: Elementary school students and older (children in 4th grade or younger must be accompanied by a guardian).

Clothing: Clothes that can get dirty, long pants, work gloves, and boots.

Capacity: Up to 20 people each for the morning and afternoon sessions (If there are many applicants, a lottery will be held).
