The Hokkaido University Ainu and Indigenous Studies Center will hold a series of lectures entitled "Reconsidering the History of Post-War Japanese Anthropology from the Perspective of the Comprehensive Survey of the Ainu People" on Wednesdays 15, 22, and 29, 2026.

The First Session: Research Ethics Lessons from the Comprehensive Survey of the Ainu People in the 1950s (Hokkaido University Venue and Online)

The Second Comprehensive Survey of the Ainu People as an Opportunity for Reunification: Post-War Period at Keijo Imperial University School of Medicine (Online Only)

Third Comprehensive Survey of the Ainu People and the Formation of the Department of Social Anthropology at Tokyo Metropolitan University (Online Only)

*The second and third lectures will be more detailed explanations of the first lecture. Anyone is welcome to attend, but the content will be more specialized.
