Hokkaido University Museum will hold a special exhibition, "Brown Bears x Hokkaido University Bear Lab Exhibition - Big Footprints, Small Steps," from February 7th to March 29th.

 

The exhibition will feature a three-dimensional model of a brown bear's hibernation hole, skeletal specimens, fur, research tools, and more, and will introduce the mysterious ecology and physiology of brown bears, including hibernation and breeding, as well as promote awareness of measures to prevent brown bear-related injuries. The exhibition will also look back on the 55-year history of the Hokkaido University Bear Research Lab, introducing its activities to date and future aspirations. The program will also screen "Hokkaido: The Story of the Hokkaido University Bear Research Lab," which aired on NHK Sapporo Broadcasting Station on October 25, 2024.
