As of July 1st, Hokkaido University Museum has renovated part of its permanent exhibits.
Hokkaido University Museum strives to communicate the cutting-edge research and education of Hokkaido University to society. In the "Challenging Hokkaido University" area, Institute for the Advancement of Sustainability is exhibiting a new exhibit. In the "Hokkaido University's Inquiring Spirit" area, the Ainu and Indigenous Studies Center, Center for Environmental and Health Sciences, the Earthquake and Volcano Research Observation Center, Slavic-Eurasian Research Center, and Field Science Center for Northern Biosphere (in alphabetical order) are introducing the latest research and education results.
An opening ceremony was held on July 1st, with Executive Director and Vice President Fumihiko Yamamoto and Museum Director Toshio Tsubota in attendance and receiving explanations about the highlights of each exhibit.
