Hokkaido University Graduate School of Policy Studies will hold the 6th HOPS Seminar for 2025 on June 24th, with the topics "Green Food System Strategy" and "Forestry and Wood Industries in a Decarbonized Society."

In May 2021, a new strategy for Japan's agricultural policy, the "Green Food System Strategy," was formulated to improve productivity in Japan's food, agriculture, forestry and fisheries industries while achieving sustainability through innovation, including SDGs and climate change measures. Professor Shimizu is also currently working at the Forestry Agency to realize new forestry and timber industries in a decarbonized society, and we will hear more about this.
