Hokkaido University's School of Agriculture, Graduate School of Agriculture, and Research Faculty of Agriculture will hold the 72nd Clock Tower Salon: Ask School of Agriculture on April 16th.
The Hokkaido University School of Agriculture, Graduate School of Agriculture, and Research Faculty of Agriculture are holding the Clock Tower Salon "Ask School of Agriculture" at the Sapporo Clock Tower (official name: Former Sapporo Agricultural College Drill Hall).
The theme of the 72nd episode is "The Secret of Milk, Originating from Nature". It may seem obvious that animals secrete milk by obtaining energy from food, but not much is known about the concentration of milk from each animal or the synthesis process. We will tell you about the types of food consumed, the absorption of nutrients, and the synthesis process of milk components.
The first lecture will introduce the relationship between the natural rearing method of animals and the resulting milk concentration, and the second lecture will introduce the synthesis of milk components in the mammary gland of cows, a) uptake of nutrients from the blood, b) synthesis of milk, and c) the process of milk secretion.
