On Tuesday, March 18th, a ceremony was held to present the certificates of selected projects for the Collaborative Research Platform Project, which is part of the Japan-U.S. Collaborative Research Project (J-PEAKS), an initiative aimed at strengthening regional core and distinctive research universities. The project has been open to applications from within the university since October last year, and the project briefing was also held.
This project is part of the Japan-PEAKS Project, which is currently being implemented by our university, and aims to gradually support research expenses and base formation costs for interdisciplinary research and applied research that are unique and original strengths and characteristics of the university. The university's research support organizations will provide unified and agile support, with the aim of forming research centers in the areas of excellence and extension, which are the focus of our university.
After a rigorous review by a committee of experts from within and outside the university, six projects were selected for the acceleration stage and 12 projects for the incubation stage.
