Hokkaido University Public Policy School (HOPS) will hold the HOPS Career Seminar/Public Lecture "Thinking about Social Issues" on February 15th.

As major challenges such as climate change and international conflicts continue to plague the world, when we look back at our own country, we see no clear path to solutions to many issues, including child poverty, intensifying disasters, a declining birthrate and aging population, overconcentration in metropolitan areas and depopulation in rural areas, information literacy gaps, sluggish productivity, gender equality, and food and energy security.
How does the lecturer, who has experience in both government and the private sector and currently supports rule-making between government ministries and companies, think about social issues? Why not take a listen? You're sure to find hints for connecting "society" and "yourself."
