As part of the "Urban Development GX" initiative, the Urban Development Bureau of the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism and the Hokkaido Regional Development Bureau will be holding the "Urban Development GX Seminar in Sapporo - Changing the Future of Cities with Greenery" on November 13th, with the aim of promoting efforts to create and maintain high-quality greenery in cities.

This event will explain the Excellent Green Space Preservation Plan Certification System for private businesses and introduce examples of "green creation and maintenance" in Hokkaido. In the initiative introduction, Project Associate Professor Shingo Kitaoka of the Campus Management Division of Institute for the Advancement of Sustainability will introduce the initiatives of our university under the title "Greening of University Campuses in the City - Initiatives of Hokkaido University - (tentative title)".
