Hokkaido University Museum will hold the 6th Saturday Citizen Seminar of 2024, "From the Environment Around Us and People's Health to Global Health" on September 14th.
The sixth session will feature Professor Hiroyoshi Iwata, Professor Naomi Tamura, Professor Rieko Yamamoto, and Professor Yufu Aitubamai from the Hokkaido University Center for Environmental and Health Sciences. Based on the Hokkaido Study, an epidemiological study on the environment and children's health that Center for Environmental and Health Sciences Sciences has been working on, they will discuss what the "surrounding environment" is in relation to children's growth and development, the importance of such research on the environment and health, and the activities of Future Earth, an international research platform for global environmental research and sustainability science, and the WHO Collaborating Center, and will consider human health around the world from Japan.
