The environment surrounding the Arctic region is undergoing major changes due to climate change. The melting of sea ice and glaciers is having an impact not only on the weather and marine ecosystems, but also on social and economic activities on a global scale. On this occasion, the 3rd Arctic Science Ministers' Meeting (ASM3) will be held in Japan on May 8th and 9th, 2021, and Hokkaido University Arctic Research Center, National Institute of Polar Research, International Arctic Environment Research Center, We will hold a press briefing to introduce to domestic and international media the research activities and research results related to the Arctic region that are being jointly undertaken by the Arctic Environmental Change Research Center of the Global Environment Division of the Japan Agency for Marine-Earth Science and Technology.
