Hokkaido University's Center for Natural Hazards Research will hold its "Second Opening Ceremony" on April 25th.

 

Established in April 2019, the Hokkaido University Center for Natural Hazards Research Risk Reduction has been promoting education, research, and human resource development as a university-wide organization related to disaster prevention. The first term of activities ended in March 2024, and the second term began in April. At this ceremony, a report on the activities of the first term and the activity policy for the second term will be announced, and the ideal form of the second term, which aims to create a new academic field, "Comprehensive Disaster Mitigation Studies," will be discussed.
