Hokkaido Prefecture, Sapporo City, Hokkaido University, and Nitori Holdings Co., Ltd. have renewed their partnership agreement with the aim of contributing to the further development of Hokkaido and Sapporo through the development of "future IT human resources" who will lead the future, based on mutual collaboration and cooperation.
In order to realize a super smart society - Society 5.0 - we have been working since 2019 with the aim of developing "future IT human resources" who can solve local community issues and create a future society using the power of digital technology and data. Sapporo City, Hokkaido University, and Nitori Holdings Co., Ltd. have been working together to develop IT human resources. From 2021, Hokkaido has also joined the partnership agreement, and the four parties have been working together on projects that will support the future of Hokkaido and Sapporo. In Hokkaido, while the sales of the IT industry are increasing year by year, there are many companies that have issues with manpower and human resource development, and we recognize that the development of IT human resources is essential.
Through the re-signing of the partnership agreement, we will address the following issues:
Cooperation matters
- Matters related to the promotion of research that contributes to a new data-driven social design
- Matters related to human resource development in advanced information science fields such as data science at universities and graduate schools
- Matters related to IT human resource development for young people such as elementary, junior high, and high school students
