Water quality survey

The PARE Course is an education course run by Hokkaido University that aims is to find solutions to various problems related to populations, activities, resources, and environments (PARE), and to foster frontier human resources capable of playing a leading role in the development of Asia. The partner universities include four universities in Thailand (Chulalongkorn University, Kasetsart University, Thammasat University, Mahidol University) and three universities in Indonesia (IPB University, Gadjah Mada University, and Bandung Institute of Technology). With an emphasis on an interdisciplinary approach, in addition to four basic cross-disciplinary courses, Hokkaido University also offers practical courses centered on problem-solving in collaboration with participants from different specialties, nationalities, languages, and cultures. Those who have completed the course are expected to become experts in various fields related to PARE and work for governments, international organizations, and companies or as researchers, form networks, and cooperate in order to optimize resource utilization and find solutions to existing problems.
