Our university's Human Intelligence x Brain x AI Research and Education Center (CHAIN) will be offering a recurrent educational program "AI and Human Society" open to working adults from January to March 2024.
This program will be hosted by our university's Human Intelligence x Brain x AI Research and Education Center (CHAIN), a unique organization that interdisciplinaryly intersects AI, neuroscience, and the humanities. This is a recurrent program for working adults to learn comprehensive AI ethics and cross-disciplinary knowledge, including wide-ranging ripple effects on society and prospects for the future, in order to respond to the coming AI era. Lecturers will be researchers from the Center for Human Intelligence x Brain x AI Research and Education (CHAIN) and other universities, as well as practitioners who are active on the front lines.
Recurrent education program “AI and human society” course overview
We offer ``Course 1,'' which includes online (on-demand) lectures and Q&A sessions, and ``Course 2,'' which includes three days of intensive, face-to-face active learning.
*"Course 1" is further divided into "Course 1-a" and "Course 1-b".
- Course 1-a: “AI Ethics”
You will learn a wide range of basic issues, recent examples, and future possibilities regarding AI ELSI. - Course 1-b: “Knowledge spreading from AI: Fusion of different fields”
You will learn a wide range of new developments in cross-disciplinary knowledge that have arisen at the intersection of AI, brain science, and the humanities and social sciences. - Course 2: Expert course “AI and human society”
Following the introductory lecture, students will engage in group work, presentations, and discussions among students who share the same awareness of issues.
You can also network with other students.
