On October 1st, our university established the Semiconductor Center Promotion Headquarters, which serves as a hub for industry, academia, and government in the semiconductor field.

 

With Rapidus Inc.'s decision to establish a cutting-edge semiconductor factory in Chitose City, Hokkaido, efforts to promote the semiconductor industry in Hokkaido are rapidly progressing. In this context, our university established the Semiconductor Center Promotion Headquarters on October 1st in order to contribute to solving national, regional, and industrial issues as a hub for industry, academia, and government, and to promote semiconductor-related research and human resource development at our university. It was installed on. In the future, by building a strong collaborative system with semiconductor-related off-campus organizations and bringing together the semiconductor knowledge of each department, we will become a base for promoting human resource development and research, and aim to develop the cutting-edge semiconductor industry in Japan.
