The Hokkaido Medical Association, in which our university participates, will hold a public symposium titled ``Living with Disabilities - Aiming for a society where everyone can live comfortably'' on October 28th. In this symposium, Dr. Ryoaki Matsushima of the Department of Neurology/Clinical Genetics Hokkaido University Hospital will chair the first part of the symposium, ``Current status of support for people with disabilities.''

This symposium is designed to share the thoughts of experts in various fields such as medical care and welfare with the general public regarding living with disabilities, and to provide a venue to help resolve issues.
