Jetstar Japan conducted a tree-planting activity on October 10th at the Uryu Research Forest of the University's Field Science Center for Northern Biosphere, where the Environmental Relations Research Institute and the university are working together to regenerate the forest.

The forest regeneration project ``Present Tree in Hokkaido'' by the certified NPO Environmental Relations Research Institute is being carried out in the Uryu Research Forest managed by the University's Field Science Center for Northern Biosphere. In this project, artificial forests planted with bamboo grass and exotic species can be regenerated into their original mixed forests, with the aim of creating ideal forests that take into consideration the sustainability of the entire ecosystem. We have been carrying out planting activities since 2006.
Jetstar Japan supports this project and has launched the project donation program ``StarTrees.'' We are conducting this tree-planting activity to commemorate the first tree planting by "StarTrees" and to commemorate the launch of the Asahikawa service.

Fifteen Jetstar employees participated in this tree-planting activity, and after receiving guidance from faculty and staff from the University's Field Science Center for Northern Biosphere, they planted 200 Picea saplings.
