Hokkaido University Museum will hold the 2023 6th Saturday Citizen Seminar "Corona Pandemic and War: The Trouble of Fish Classifiers and New Initiatives" on September 9th.

Taxonomy involves travel. The coronavirus pandemic has brought many restrictions to taxonomic researchers around the world, forcing research activities to come to a standstill. And this time, a huge obstacle called war stands in front of us. Should you aim for "perfection" or "best", or should you give up completely? As a classifier, the past three years have given me a lot to think about.
