Hokkaido University Museum will hold a public lecture on the cutting edge of research on aquatic plants in Hokkaido on August 19th.

This lecture will include ``The story of the world's hijjiweeds. Is the Ezo swampweed found only in Hokkaido?'' ``The story of the world's hijjiweeds: Is the sphinged swamp only found in Hokkaido?'' ``Characteristics of aquatic plants in Hokkaido and recent trends. We are planning three lectures titled "Introducing new findings in aquatic plant research."
