The IDE University Association Hokkaido Branch and our university will hold the "Reiwa 5th IDE University Seminar" on August 30th.
This year's theme is "The role of universities in healthcare education in Hokkaido in response to the declining birthrate and aging population."
Hokkaido has the fastest declining birthrate and aging population in the country, and by 2040, over 40% of the population will be 75 years old or older. With this future in mind, the prefectural government is currently working on healthcare DX.
At this year's IDE seminar, we first discussed initiatives and future prospects for healthcare and healthcare education from the respective perspectives of industry, government, and academia, and then invited speakers to take the podium as panelists. We will hold a panel discussion with you about the future of healthcare in Hokkaido and the ideal form of healthcare education for that purpose.
