Our university's Mathematics and Data Science Education and Research Center (MDSC), Data-Driven Fusion Research and Discovery Center (D-RED), and Hokkaido Development Technology Center are collaborating to hold a symposium titled ``Connecting the Future of Snow Country: Industry-Government-Academia Regional Collaboration.'' Data Science” will be held on August 9th.

In order to develop industry-government-academia/regional collaboration initiatives, we will hear lectures from a variety of perspectives on "snow and cold countermeasures/disaster prevention" and "cooperation" and explore ways to share knowledge and collaborate. This association aims to deepen collaboration between industry, government, academia, and the region in Hondo, which is a snowy country, and to create opportunities to further utilize information science, including data science, which is an effective tool for solving regional and social issues. I hope that it will spread.
